I have recently bought a boat called Moonfleet. It's registration is X96 which suggests it was registered on the Norfolk Broads around 1983-4. I'm puzzled because it calls itself a Shetland Greyline 538 which I cannot find does not appear on these pages as a recognised Shetland model.

Can anyone tell from the pictures what it is? Does it have another name for this model?

Today I got a picture from DW which shows the boats registration panel. No-where does it mention 'Shetland' so I think I must be on the wrong forum.
It says
Greyline Boats Ltd
538 No. 019 ( the 019 is stamped into the metal )
Tayfen Road.
Bury St. Edmunds
Suffolk. England.

This is one of the very very early boats that came out of Shetland in Jack Stokes' day.
It is the same hull Shetland Sheltie.

Thank you for clarifying the Shetland link. I've looked at the Sheltie and don't think it looks much like Moonfleet!
