Hello, I have recently joined the owners club and I am wondering if you could answer a few questions I have?
My questions are:
1, My Shetland 535 has a small black plastic "CUSTOM" badge on each side under the Shetland marking near the green & red running lights.
Does this mean my boat is any differrent to any other shetland 535 or did they all have these badges?
2, The only markings I can find on the boat are next to the cabin door where the steering wheel is and is a small blue and silver plack reading "THE SHIP & BOAT BUILDERS FEDERATION" "CERT NO: 18207 - would you be able to tell me how old my boat is from this marking as I was told it is a 1980 but have read on a boat forum (I forget which) that the 535 was only built between 1965 & 1975!
3, And finally, what is the biggest outboard I can put on my 535?
Any info will be hugely appriciated!

Hello,
The CUSTOM badge does not mean anything different, your 535 should be as normal.
The CERT NO will not indicate the year, the boat should have a Shetland Badge with a serial number on and this will tell you the year of build from the serial number listings on the the 535 past model page.
The biggest hp for the 535 is 50/60hp
