Hi,

I've just purchased a 498 (serial 609 believed to be of 1985 manufacture ??) and am disappointed at the apparent lack of info. about this model. Did you get yourself sorted? Any other 498 owners out there?

My purchase included a 2HP Mariner as an auxilliary but I don't expect it to do much -except perhaps on a canal. I'll post something when I have tried it!

Jim D.

Hi, I have just acquired a 498 and has the auxilery pad with a 4HP long shaft which seems to do the job of getting back, has the extended handel which helps.Richard.
